Leadership is discovery, not doctrine
No single right way to run a company exists. First principles beat common practice every time. Ask “does this make sense here?” not “how is it usually done?”

Small teams are faster
Overhead scales quadratically with team size, but output scares linearly with # of humans (with an exponential on the caliber of the person). This is why a team of 2 A players will move faster than a team of 2 A players + 10 B players.

Hard work is table-stakes
Align your dopamine with challenging, high-leverage tasks instead of quick hits.

A high bar is the key to life
Set a high bar. Hold yourself to it, hold others to it. Only work with people who align with that philosophy.

Self-awareness is the ultimate leverage multiplier
Know your energy patterns, failure modes, and blind spots so you can design systems that move you in the right direction.
